How many operating systems, does Microsoft expects the users to change is beyond any one’s guess as the oldest internet entity, has announced that it is currently working on Windows 8 operating system and expects to release the OS in the year 2012.

It seems that, Microsoft Corporation has decided to follow its policy of introducing an all new operating system every three years. The announcement for the all new Windows 8 OS was made by Microsoft at the Professional Developers’ Conference (PDC). This astonishing announcement comes just after month of the release of the latest Microsoft operating system, Windows 7.

Even though Microsoft refused to give any further details about Windows 8, one of its employees, Robert Morgan, who worked in the company’s high security department for research and development involving strategic planning for medium and long term projects had given a lot of insight about the proposed operating system. According to Mr. Morgan, the new Windows 8 will be on a 128 bit platform and that Microsoft is also planning for Windows 9 version as well. Furthermore, the company has also entered into talks with Intel, AMD, HP and IBM.
