We all know about the 7.9 magnitude disaster earthquake which killed 69,000 people in central China last May, following which the government intended to build about 1.5 million provisional homes for the effected. Knowing this, the idea of creating these geometrical homes resembling folded paper art of Japan struck Ming Tang.

The concept homes appear striking and are made out of bamboo poles assembled in arithmetic shapes and then covered with recycled paper. These homes can be folded while shifting from one place to another and can be rebuilt with a different shape. They look like a perfect option for temporary habitats because they are frivolous, low-priced and durable. Their presence was also noticed in the latest Re:Construct competition.

In my opinion, this concept can also be used to design cottages for tourists. They would be fun to live in. They would also make a good design for beach houses. The government should therefore consider building of these eco-friendly structures for various purposes.
