A new Michael Jackson song, This is It, has made its foray into the internet. After the tragic death of the king of Pop on June 25 at his Los Angeles estate, it is the first new number to hit the online music scenes.

While the controversy and legal quagmire around his death continues to make headlines through the months, and there is also the issue of his children’s custody, fans have been looking forward to anything the star could give them for music. Over the next decade, the star’s story will become history and part-legend too.

The song also becomes the first new single number to get featured in documentary in the making, of the same name This is It. It will now be sent to radio outlets.

The trailer for this documentary was shown at MTV Video Music Awards. And it was soon followed by an online featuring on MySpace.

The song is also out on Michael Jackson’s official website. Reactions by his fans and listeners to the just debuted song have been largely good.
