Microsoft’s Courier tablet device that numerous blogs picked upon in the month of September last year is once again in the news, as new information has surfaced in regards to the purpose of the Courier. According to sources close to Microsoft, the device will be more than just an ordinary tablet and in fact it has been termed as a “digital journal”, with the entire focus being set on the portability factor. According to the new information, the Courier will powered by a Tegra 2 chip and will be running the Windows CE 6 operating system, that can also be found on Zune HD, Pink, and Windows Mobile 7 Series.
The users will be given the opportunity of scribbling their thoughts and notions onto the Courier, with the help of a pen based user interface, that has will b equally complimented with hand writing recognition. Furthermore, the device is also rumored to be fitted with an in built camera and headphone jack for music playback.
