More Muscle Power Reduces the Risk of Getting Alzheimer’s disease

The old adage that goes, “Health is wealth” is indeed very true in many ways. Life is not fun without a good health. Hence, it is very important to maintain a good health especially in today’s fast paced world, which has forced many to inculcate unhealthy habits that in turn deteriorate their health. Interestingly, a recently conducted research by Dr. Patricia A. Boyle of Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Chicago and her colleagues found that a person with greater muscle strength has lesser risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease than a person with weak muscle strength.

Building strong muscles also helps one to protect oneself from affecting by ‘loss of mental functions’ that often precedes before full-blown Alzheimer’s disease. While it is a tad conspicuous that strong muscles protect one from getting the deadly Alzheimer’s disease, it is not yet studied anybody till date if muscle strength reduces the risk of ‘Dementia’.

It is common sense that an individual with great muscle strength will naturally be healthy and strong and hence, he will be at a reduced risk from contracting with the deadly diseases. So, if you have been sluggish enough not to improve your physical activities, do hit the nearest gym at the earliest regardless of how old you are. It is not only good to live healthy but also to happy to live healthy.
