The much awaited Moto Aura will soon be making an appearance, though its clientele would not include all Moto lovers since the model will be catering to people blissfully unaware of the recession. Motorola has announced that the hyped phone would be available from the first of December and would be exclusive to Selfridges.
In the announcement made at London’s St. Martin Lane hotel the price of the Moto Aura was revealed to be £1400 sans contract. Interestingly, with all the great things Motorola has to say about its latest handset, Moto Aura offers only GSM/EDGE connectivity and doesn’t seem to have any special applications that could set it apart from its competitors. Apart from relying on the popularity of the brand name, Moto Aura appears to be depending upon its 1.55” circular LCD screen to become the season’s buying favourite. Even more disappointingly, the Aura appears to be modelled after the company’s ancestral V70.
Motorola claims the phone is superbly crafted for refined tastes but fails to live up to all the promises, even in design. It would be surprising if this handset managed to impress its target of the filthy rich.
