World is making all effort to go ‘green’ and this is not mere rhetoric anymore. Every other company is innovating on design to make its product ‘green’ as well as trendy. If Nike can make ‘green’ shoes and Times Square billboards can switch to ‘green’ energy and then why not have everyday gadgets like mobile phones which are ‘green’?
Motorola is the first mobile company to have gone with the ‘green’ mood of the world. MOTO W233 Renew is the world’s first carbon neutral mobile phone made from recycled plastic water bottles. The product has also been endorsed by Carbonfund.org and given a CarbonFree Product Certification. This means this mobile leaves no carbon footprint. Smart move one must say. ‘Green’ is slowing becoming best USP for any product. Also it seems company is offering to take back old mobile phones for recycling!!
Onus of making the world ‘green’ is slowly shifting to consumers and common people. Right from automobiles to mobiles there are eco-friendly options to choose from. May they all come for a price but not high enough compared to the price we are paying for the irreversible environmental degradation. It is a wise move to prevent further damage, but will it work?
