
MTV Networks International’s global climate change campaign was launched in typical MTV style. Switch is a new internet based campaign of MTV. As always it targets net savvy educated urban people.
MTV network always applies intellect and wit to draw attention to most serious issues. Here message board in the hands of sinking man says a lot about why one should be aware of perils of global warming and make that important individual effort to save the environment. This campaign was carried out in Amsterdam canals. It must have shocked joy riders to see this floating last message of a sinking soul. Yes, it conveys an important message that we all need to switch to green ways to avoid sinking in rising sea levels.
MTV plans take this campaign to all parts of the globe. This is most inexpensive and real campaign. No need of any electronic or print media. Let the message float in all water-bodies around the cities of the world. And going by the page traffic generated by the MTV Switch website, this campaign already seems to be success!
Let us hope this campaign will create huge awareness in youth and they’ll make cutting down carbon emissions very trendy. MTV is a known trendsetter!
