Designer Pengtao Yu put his inspiration that he got from a lamp on a cold night, into a two-in-one concept. Giving punch to the clichéd quote `necessity is the mother of invention’, he made what is called the MugLight. It is actually a mug holder and lamp.

A lampshade made of heat insulating material that can hold a cup of coffee on a specially designed dent on the lamp’s roof core, it uses the lamp’s emitted heat to keep your coffee warm. Common sense put to innovative use did you say?

The lampshade design by itself is very elegant, in pure white. So, fix it at your desktop or move it to your study, or simply do some arranging in the kitchen while your coffee stays warm.
