Naoooooooooo Experimental Light: Illuminating your room with USB power!

Now we have no clue as to why designer Tim Richter decided to name his little cool conception as “Naoooooooooo” (That is 10 ‘o’s in the title), but both the intent and the technology used in making this green lamp seem to be fairly cool when it comes to energy and material saving. The LED lighting solution not just saves energy because it uses LED lights in the space of the traditional lighting options, but the series of delightful fascinating and bright spheres standing in a vertical column can be charged up from a USB port. The main aim of Naoooooooooo is to create a path towards a future where we can charge all our home appliances using USB ports and the necessary adapters.

Tim believes that by adapting this way one can conserve energy and material, both at the same time. Instead of creating separate power cords for each device, this singular universal approach should in future allow us to plug in all our devices from a singular USB port. Not just environmentally, but even aesthetically the Naoooooooooo looks lovely and fits in seamlessly in any environment. Just make sure though that you unplug the adapters when they are not in use as even the idle ones can draw energy!

Thanks: [Tim Richter]
