NASA Moonstream: Exploratory Vehicle for the Moon

With the discovery of water on the moon, people are daring to hope that the increase of population on earth could propel some of the lucky few to life on the moon. Exploratory journeys on the moon, however, must be done in futuristic appearing vehicles worth being driven on alien terrain.

Moonstream is an exploratory vehicle designed for the moon by Anthony Sims in an attempt to create more interest amongst laymen for NASA. This Art Centre of College of Design student was inspired by the defensive shell of a tortoise and incorporated the same defences into his concept vehicle. Apart from the fascinating design, the most striking feature of this vehicle is the wheels which come in pairs that can be adjusted depending on height and track. Slow moving like a tortoise, the interior of the vehicle is fitted with the latest communication technologies.

The interior is also designed with the utmost comfort of the inhabitants in mind. The NASA Moonstream is definitely the vehicle to travel in when you are discovering new possibilities in a strange and foreign land.
