Gone are the days when billboards were neon lit signs that glowed obnoxiously every place you went. The recent trends would not allow advertisers to guiltlessly use electronic boards as people would not only question the anti-green technology behind but the companies themselves are growing more eco friendly.

Neoluxiim has launched a Solar Powered e-Ink Display that can be used with just the indoor lighting to power it. These displays seem really good, but the catch is they last for just 18 months. With such a short span of shelf life, not many people would like to spend so much of money on displays.

If Neoluxiim can create a product that lasts for a longer time and that which makes use of just indoor lighting or solar energy to work, it would give advertising an impetus and people would also get a better impression about the product, the advertiser and on a larger perspective, about the whole ad industry. E-Ink technology is a great way to start the trend, in spite of the setbacks and shortcomings. Advertising is something that would not vanish, and thus green displays are the need of the hour.
