Newsified, a project of Luke Stevens has come up with an extremely convenient idea for all those who want frequent updates on the social news. Social news being the buzzword for many, has attracted a lot of public attention. This project has further simplified the tasks of many viewers. It provides a birds-eye-view of popular sites like Digg, Reddit, Metafilter, Delicious and Youtube. It sounds interesting, especially the fact it’s a centralized location and the viewers can quickly skim through the content.

The fact is, only the most popular and the latest content make it to the home page, which constitutes only 10 percent of the news. However, the remaining 90 percent of the news is what is to be complemented by providing an overall view of what is happening on the rest of the site.

With Newsified, you only get to know the hot news doing the rounds across all categories on the Internet. What more to ask for, Newsified also aims to preserve the flavor of the sites. Stevens says that he has decided to give each site an individual page and suitable layout for news rather than mashing them all together.

Stevens surely has made his contributions to fuel people’s addiction of social news, but only making it better this time.
