Nicholas Martin Innovates On A Surf Bag

Nicholas Martino is like a messiah for surfers because of his enthusiasm in improving the basic surf bag design. He has found a way to make a surfer’s life safer and easier simply by adding inflatable chambers for more protection. Though this is still in development stage as of now, we are hoping that this idea gets realized in actual products soon.

Martino has cleverly used a cover that will provide maximum defense from dings while maintaining an impeccable transport board. A cushy handhold will keep you in the correct position while doubling up as a sleeping mat when you not surfing. The designer recommends filling these surf bags with helium to further lighten the load.

But like we said it will be some time before this cool product hits the market. In the meanwhile, you can check out another version from Soma with similar features. It comes for $150.

We were directly informed by Quiksilver & Nicholas Martino that this QS prototype bag was unsuccesfully produced with no intention of production as incorrectly quoted on the last line of this article. Original posting from http://www.CoolHuntings.com was informed of this mis-information by both Quiksilver and Soma ABD with no response of their unfounded information.
