Nicole Richie had the tragic fate of suffering from pneumonia for a long time. She is still recuperating from its devastating effects and it has left the American actress weak and tired. She will thus stay in bed and recover from her fatigue and weakness. The 28 year old actress was recently hospitalized after getting pneumonia and her fans have stood by her side.

She wished all her fans a great Thanksgiving and she would however not be able to spend it with the usual gaiety. I am sure she would be missing all the turkey trimmings and the mashed potatoes which she could have eaten if she were healthy. One needs to wait and watch how long she will be able to stay in bed and when she will go out partying whether she like the Thanksgiving dinner or not.

Nicole is so professional that she apologized to all her business partners and her fans for not keeping up with the dates. Whatever the case might be, she truly deserved a long break like this and any human being for that matter needs time to rest and relax. Perhaps Thanksgiving is the best time of the year to do so.

As an ER MD I see many patients with the flu and H1N1 (Swine flu). Most of these patients can easily be treated with over the counter medications but more are acquiring pneumonia. Learn more about pneumonia and see a Health 2.0 mash-up of relevant content at:
