The latest from the guys at Nikon is that the hugely anticipated 24.5 megapixel Nikon D3x DSLR will be out soon. The company has revealed many details about the product and it happens to be a full-frame DSLR. It also has the 24.5 mp CMOS sensor and a powerful image sensor of 16-bits. However, as the resolution doubled, the frame rate for continuous shooting has come down and it is only 5 frames per second now. Most of the other features will remain the same.

Looks like budding moviemakers and fashion photographers can take full advantage of these high-resolution pictures and it would be a joy to see some glamorous pictures taken by your friends, if you have the camera. Pricing and availability details are not known yet and it would surely be very expensive. Nevertheless, it is an interesting product, which will achieve popularity once it is available.

In my opinion, when a camera’s resolution increases multi-fold, problems are bound to arise. However, Nikon being a good and venerable company, may already have taken measures to quell any sort of problems in the processing of image and video.
