Nimbuzz, that has been quite a known face in the field of mobile communication has announced the development of a native API (application Programming Interface) for the Blackberry smart phones, enabling all Blackberry users to use the Nimbuzz software to connect to multiple IM networks via on client.
The native application from Nimbuzz is quite sleek in operation, as it works hidden in the background and does not intrude in the working of the phone. The application pushes the incoming messages and alerts onto the screen of the phone informing the users of an incoming transmission and it also takes into account the phone’s audio profile, i.e whether the phone has been set to play a sound or just vibrate.
Nimbuzz has stated that, the Blackberry application is the first generation app and more features will be introduced for the IM application in the coming future. The newly launched application for the Blackberry currently provides mainstream instant messaging clients such asSkype, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, Facebook, MySpace etc.
Nimbuzz had recently acquired $25 million in venture capital and is also known to be a winner of the ‘Connect On Blackberry’ award given by Research in Motion (RIM).
