A 37 year old woman came to the clinic and presented a list of compulsions and obsessions. She was suffering from various compulsions and obsessions. She would look up and down people, and also count while walking, to name a few of the obsessions. She also suffers from anxiety.
She had come to the clinic earlier but discontinued treatment as she felt guilty about not revealing the same to her husband. She suffered from obsessions and compulsions for a long time. She feels guilty about not being truthful about her illness with her husband. Hence, she blames herself. She was abused as a child by her female cousin and later was exposed to an exhibitionist next door.
The woman is in touch with reality and suffers from OCD. She has got rid of many of her obsessions but looking up and down and a few other obsessions persist. She also feels guilty which could be a sign of mild depression. She has full insight about her condition.
