Camping can be a most exciting and educating affair, but the difficulties of setting camp can make it almost an art that the very few become experts at. Camping equipment such as the simple tent can be complex and unglamorous for a lot of people.
Orange showed off their new tent concept at the Glastonbury Festival which had a lot of people taking a renewed interest in camping. Made in collaboration with the American company Kaleidoscope, the Orange Solar Concept Tent will make it possible for campers to stay in constant touch communication-wise by offering possibilities for the campers to charge their gadgets. The tent has an outer shell made from photovoltaic fabric which can be shifted along the tent throughout the day to catch the sun’s rays. The tent can also provide a wireless internet signal and offers users to identify their tent with an sms or through RFID techno.
The solar tent has an internal under floor heating system which automatically starts when the temperature falls below the preset level. You’ll never set fire to your tent again!
