Panasonic, the TV and consumer electronics brand has lived up to its caption “Ideas for Life”. The company is moving on from its voluntary recycling events and is about to announce its nationwide recycling program today along with Sharp and Toshiba. This program will be directed by the Electronic Manufacturers Recycling Management Company, LLC (MRM).
Panasonic has been working independently since the last couple of years to test different product recycling mechanisms in quite a few states and localities with the local recyclers. With this new program, it will extend this service to 160 locations in about 10 states and desires to reach every state by the end of the next 3 years. Under this program, the company’s products will be recycled free of cost and that too in an eco-friendly manner.
According to the company’s recycling group manager, the company will strive to produce recyclable and efficient products under its Eco Ideas program and help consumer electronics to get rid of the waste generated from appliances. I hope the other electrical device companies too will soon pick up this initiative to make the environment clean and safe.
