Parent Teacher meetings are either superbly useful in terms of insight from two perpectives – that of parents and teachers, or they could be a complete bore. In the age of pathetic traffic, hectic work schedules and less time for social activity, a parent teacher association has actually decided to go online. On February 23, Tuesday and following meetings on, Harmony Science Academy Parent Teacher Organization will broadcast their meetings live on line.

Harmony -Euless is part of a network of charter schools throughout the state of Texas. Touted to be the first ever such conference, the decision to stream the PTO meeting live online was meant to reach out to more parents, allow for better communication between parents and teachers, and provide an interactive experience for parents. It was also keeping in mind the fact that doing a 40 mile extra trip would be a bit too much for some parents. The parent teacher organization intends to make such meetings more family friendly, aiding total family participation.

Students at Harmony-Euless are spread out at Ft. Worth, North Richland Hills, Bedford, Hurst, Denton, Colleyville, Grapevine, Watauga and Haltom City among some of the areas. Besides the novelty factor that such a platform provides, there may still be a section of parents who need that personal touch when it comes to the overall growth of the child.
