Lately, we have been hearing of a lot of tees dedicated to the cause of green. There is a new addition. Patagonia’s “Vote the Environment” T-shirt will have you wearing your politics on your chest. Made up of pure (please read 100 per cent) organic cotton within the US, the garment can be turned inside out if you want information on the League of Conservation Voters. This, by the by, is an organisation dedicated to promote green awareness and tackle environmental issues.
$5 from the cost price of $30 per tee is donated to the League. Available in both men’s and women’s styles, the shirt also bears the recyclable stamp from Patagonia’s Common Threads recycling program.
In the same spirit, Patagonia’s “Common Roots” T-shirt roots for a non-profit organisation called HeadCount which works to increase voter registration and participation in democracy. This too is pure organic cotton and is recyclable at any Patagonia store. Check out the themes which question authority, promote peace rallies and tell you to feed chickens or journal in a hammock!
