Lian Li has a long history of celebrating its anniversaries by creating some astounding chassis, which, come to think of it, is nothing but a humble PC case that has been turned into something unique and modern that every computer geek will die to have. If we remember clearly, the brand gave us PC-777, some five years ago, which was touted as a bit bizarre initially but soon caught on to become a huge rage.
Come 2009, Lian Li is out with the PC-888 which actually looks nothing like anything else available in the computer market today. Being a limited edition of only 500 units, this one will be a sought after pattern, also because its make is stylish and alluring. Looking like a sail, PC-888 breaks the conventional boxy mould of a PC chassis.
We hear that the entire body has been carved out from high quality blue anodized aluminum. The color is good and a welcome change in the world of blues, white and silver that we have become just way too familiar with. PC-888 consists of 11 separate 5.25″ ventilated drive blanking plates, each fitted with a removable washable dust filter.
