What can be better than Royal Philips Electronics and BVB Subscrates of the Netherlands joining hands together? They have just tied the friendship band to jointly develop solid-state LED lighting based applications for greenhouse based flower and vegetable cultivation. Apparently, the two companies have signed MOU (memorandum of understanding) so that they can combine their strengths in horticulture.

The tie up of these two strong companies will definitely ameliorate the quality of the crops besides also yielding more production, apart from identifying the applications of energy efficient LED lighting to lower this energy consumption. BVB Subscrates has more than 100 years of experience of driving innovation in subscrates, from which flowers, vegetables, plants, mushrooms, soft fruits and trees are grown.

BVB Subscrates also supplies its expertise in subscrates to nurseries throughout the world, besides being known as one of the largest flower producing economies. Indeed, it’s a positive move that the two companies have joint their hands. In fact, this move should have happened much earlier. With this proactive change from both the companies, greenhouse effect has many reasons to smile now.
