Protagonists

Due to the great success of Superbad at the ticket last year, Columbia Pictures asked for Seth Rogen, one of the insane minds behind the film, a sequence to power bill up. Just as not getting a response.

A year later the success of a story sequel happens. But this time, the continuation of the story is different, even bizarre. That’s because James Franco told MTV about the possibility of them making a crossover Superbad / Pineapple Express. He said the idea would be a film with two directors, Motolla Greg and David Gordon Green, each directing half of the film each, and to some extent, adding the characters.

Basically the story can be summarized thus: the stoned Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) has only one reason to visit the equally crazy Saul Silver (James Franco): to buy him a new and rare marijuana call. Some time later, Dale ends up being the only witness to a murder committed by a corrupt cop and the biggest drug dealer in the city. In a state of panic, he runs to Saul to tell him what he saw.

The crazy idea hits the jackpot. Pineapple Express seems to follow the same story line of Superbad. There is only a problem. What would happen to Seth Rogen who has a character in both movies? Franco gave the answer: “We would have to kill one of them.”

Killing today is something so banal …

There just has to be some amount of killing. Sex is out of fashion, and violence is in!
