At the 2010 Games Developer Conference, Sony Corporation announced the christening of its all new motion gaming controller, PlayStation Move, designed and developed especially for Sony PlayStation 3. At the event, Sony also gave a demonstration of various games and the visitors at the conference were also given a chance to give the all new Move a try.
The all new PlayStation Move resembles the Light Sabers of the Jedi Knights from the Star Wars franchise, only with the addition of a colored glowing bulb at top. Throughout the conference, the one word that summed up the PlayStation Move was, Precision and the upper echelons of the company spared no expense in propagating the fact that, the Move was in fact highly accurate and extremely precise. The move is slated to hit the markets in fall this year and Sony has plans to introduce the Move in three separate formations.
One of the first segments target those Sony PS3 owners who also own a PlayStation Eye camera. Second segment of the PlayStation Move will focus the users who own a PS3, but would now like to purchase the Eye, the Move wands, and a compatible game. Finally, there is the complete package of the Eye, the Move, games and the Sony PlayStation 3 console
all rolled into one. Furthermore, the company also introduced an all new ’sub-controller’, that essentially is a wand like controller, minus the top bulb and with the addition of controlling buttons.
