Designing a kitchen is often considered something close to a woman’s heart and for this reason we usually view kitchens as the areas of a house cluttered in frilly curtains and potpourri. This need not be the design, however, that every woman would appreciate nor one that fits into the decor of every house.
The Poggenpohl Porsche Design Kitchen P’7340 carries a bold statement with a futuristic design. The angular lines and completely rectangular shapes of every single appliance and framework may scream masculinity but instead flaunts a more simplistic and revered theme, that of efficacy. The sleek lines of the kitchen are further highlighted with the continuity and the smoothness of the gleaming surfaces and the absence of handles; closing and opening doors and shelves require merely a push of the door.
Kitchen P’7340 comes with a built in refrigerator, 30” oven and Miele appliances sporting touch-controls and having no buttons or knobs following the design of the rest of the space. The back-lacquered surfaces are further coated with exclusive colour shades for a more finished look. The Kitchen P’7340 costs $30,000.
