Politics Is The Topic For Valentine’s Day In Orange County, California

The day of love, Valentine’s Day, when men and women express their love for each other and mark the occasion with gifts, sweets and flowers, seems to have lost its importance on a Californian Senate candidate from Orange Country, Chuck DeVore, who has released an invitation for a political meeting at Mission Vejo, California on February 14th 2010, and that too at 6 p.m in the evening.

The Orange County Assemblyman has requested for support of all constituents and that too at a time when people return home from work and then begin the festivities of Valentine’s Day. It seems, Mr. DeVore has underestimated the importance of this day and the power of love. But one thing is certain that, politics and power can strip a person of all all other good things in life and make him focus solely on career and the power that comes with it.

Senate candidate, Chuck DeVore is running for a place in the U.S Senate and is hoping to edge out the current representative in the Senate, Barbara Boxer. The invitation says,

“After the candy and the card and before that special dinner, put an hour aside for Chuck DeVore.”

Well, some one should enlighten the Assemblyman, that the time before the ’special dinner’ is the most crucial, as people tend to go as far as it takes to ensure that their beloved has the best time of the year this day and it would be really surprising, if Mr. DeVore would be able to attract a substantial crows for his campaign.
