There is yet another last minute effort to make your Christams today even more eco-friendly than before. We have a wonderful suggestion for some cool holiday lights thanks to the inspiration given by Pennsylvania homeowner Jim Berroth. The man along with his six grand kids have created such a success that traffic is stopping in his neck of wood to see “Pap’s pop can trees”.
What he has done is pretty simple. Recycled Pepsi and Miller Lite can have been collected and glued together. Once that is done, he decorates the trees with lights picked up at garage sales along with these can structures. Berroth points out that the aluminum cans reflect and amplify the lights, thus heightening the festive atmosphere.
Berroth has used more than 1.800 cans in designing six trees (one of which stand seven feet high), one two foot star and many candles in different shapes and sizes. We think it’s a great way to spread Christmas cheer that too the green way!
