Can you think of living at a time when all these luxurious comforts did not exist? Or, for that matter, can you imagine giving it all up after having once experienced it? Living like a caveman isn’t something that just anybody can do. Even Flinstone had some cool gadgets, just that they ran on animal power.
Daniel Suelo did the unthinkable and gave up all the worldly pleasures (except food and blogging, of course) and started living in a cave on his own. Suelo gave up money and his home to go live in the cave in August of 2000. The cave, which is hidden in a canyon, lies about an hour from Moab, Utah. The people of Moab have mixed feelings about Suelo, and why wouldn’t they, when the man who gave it all up still maintains a blog at the public library.
Suelo claims he gave up money because it represents debt of the past and credit of the future but never anything for the present. Strange; I experience my present with the little money I have, but I would give up money, too, if I could still blog for free!
