RECO Jeans: Denims with an Eco Touch

Denims have always been and will continue to be the favorite fabric of the world, but did any of us ever think of the damage they cause to the environment?

Seems like an odd question, right! What I am talking about is the process involved in weaving them out of cotton- including the spraying of pesticides to grow it, the harmful dyes used to shade it and the waste engendered during the process of its production. However, probably there’s a cleaner and safer way to do it and that is exactly what Singer Alanis Morissette and actor Woody Harrelson have done. They brought forth Reco Jeans made of 50 percent recycled denim making it the only company to have taken such an eco-friendly step.

To spice things up, the duo is organizing a Dutch auction that would allow you to decide the prices of 300 limited box sets of these eco-jeans. The auction would be open until the 18th of July and includes a special edition Reco iPod case. So, hurry up folks, there’s a pair of green jeans waiting for you!
