The process of listing local businesses online took its pace since the advent of Google Local Listings and since then, there has been an explosion of websites and services that help local businessmen bring their professions to the light of the public, to get new clients and to facilitate growth in the business.
Now, a new online service has popped up, that although caters to the local business listings, yet is at par from other such websites. The new start-up, RentCycle, does exactly what its first name suggests. It provides users with listings of local rental shops, from cars, bikes, diving gear to every other rental commodity available in the market. Essentially, RentCycle is a service for the rental industry.
RentCycle not only includes local established businesses, but it also caters to the needs of less known rental companies and thus provide a systematic platform for such businesses to expand their client base and grow with the times. The website enables users to locate, take the desired commodity on rent and then pay online, thus eliminating the need of a hectic drive all around town and painstaking search for rental shops.
As of now, the website displays the available rental firms and an inventory section, where the user can check out the commodities available for rent along with their prices. As the website has been launched in the Alpha phase, there is still much work to be done. RentCycle founder, Tim Hyer has stated that, in the coming weeks, RentCycle will also include analytical data on the commodities, such as pricing variability, seasonal changes and much more. For the initial term of the website, RentCycle will be focusing primarily on hardware related rental organizations, that make for a big chunk of the rental market. Later on, the website is expected to include other aspects of the industry as well, such as sports, leisure, party planning etc.
Here is an interactive demonstration of the importance of RentCycle.
