Research In Motion Gears Up For The Launch Of Blackberry Internet Services 3.0

The Blackberry smart phones and services from their creator, Research in Motion have always been one of the predominant factors, that have made the smart phone brand so unique, popular and is widely accepted as one of the best smart phones for business services, especially due to its push e-mail feature. However, one very important feature that has always been missing from the devices is the lack of support for Gmail, wherein the e-mails taken from Gmail are still marked as unread even after being viewed on Blackberry device.

However, Research in Motion has now announced that, it would be releasing the all new Blackberry Internet Services 3.0 for all its customers and with the BIS 3.0 the users will be able to experience the full potential of the internet on their Blackberry devices. The upgrade from BIS 2.8 to BIS 3.0 will be available to users in North America only and is slated for release on March 28th, 2010. One of the features that is most widely anticipated with the new BIS 3.0 is the 2 way support for Gmail along with other goodies.

Furthermore, the users will also be able to recover their deleted Blackberry e-mail accounts with the help of BIS 3.0 and also will be able to use other compatible applications
for the Blackberry devices. The update period has been given as four hours, wherein all data services from Research in Motion will be down and the update will commence from 0100 CT / 0200 EDT and 0500 CT / 0600 EDT.
