One more navigator should enter in the war for users in the browsers market. And this time, the program will be made by somebody that understands of the business.
Marc Andreessen, that developed Netscape, is projecting a navigator called initially RockMelt according to a report from CNET.
According to information, Andreessen suggested that the navigator will be different and he still criticized the contestants, affirming that they didn’t accompany the rhythm of evolution of the web.
Eric Vishria, one of the partners in RockMelt, made more mystery on the product. “We are in initial phase of development. To talk about that, in that phase, it would not be useful” he affirmed.
It is speculated, also, that the analysts’ of RockMelt team is linked to Facebook.
For those who don’t remember Netscape Navigator was a internet browser made by Netscape, now with the discontinued development. It was launched on December 15, 1997 and it was one of the first navigators Web, becoming the most used and the most popular from 1994 to 1999, when it lost the competition for Internet Explorer, Microsoft.
The appearance of a new browser increases the competition among Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Chrome. And competition is always good because who has to win is the final consumer.
