RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality have joined hands to get rid of plastic water bottles. Plastic creates a lot of nuisance and since it is not biodegradable, it is environmentally harmful. However, most people still use plastic water bottles and that could be a major cause for concern.

“Water on the Rocks” is a new programme unveiled by RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality and it would completely eliminate plastic water bottles. RockResorts have resorts in Vail, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Beaver Creek and an estimated 640,000 plastic water bottles can be eliminated from making their way into soil. The guests would instead be given reusable water bottles that can be easily refilled with water. These water bottles are stylish and come with great logos.

The guests will be given two bottles and if they want to take it home, they could do so by paying just $4. This could be a step in the right direction and encourage other resorts to follow suit. After all, no one wants to dirty our environment and we are forced to do so, unless there are options like these.
