Sanyo has just launched the Eneloop Bike which comes with an assist ratio of 1:2. The bike comes with an amazing battery technology and a cruising range of almost 100km in automatic mode. It has a 25.2V 5.7Ah self-charging battery and the rear wheel is powered by the rider and the front wheel by motorized power. The bike is stable and safe and will be a huge hit among urban commuters.
The Eneloop bike’s Power-up Mode is 70% power assisted and 30% rider powered. The 26″ wheels, 3 different speeds, 3 assist modes, 250 watt motor and other such cool features make the Eneloop bike a virtual common choice for everyone who loves bikes and who would love to stay green and save some energy.
The bike is hugely popular among Japanese and it shouldn’t be a surprise for the Japanese love their bikes and motorcycles. And when it comes to technology, we all know who rules and it has to be the land of the raising sun. Sanyo’s Eneloop Bike costs 1100 Euros and is not known if it will be released in the western world. And that is another peculiarity about Japanese products.

I’m not buying it! I have an 7 speed electric bike, motor on rear wheel, 24V 10AH battery. With constant (although easy) pedaling I barely get 20Km per charge. This has less power and more range? BS
