The French President Nicolas Sarkozy has found himself a new hobby, however a hobby not new to many. In a bid to take his mind off his busy schedule, Sarkozy has taken up collecting stamps. 

Fellow head of the sates including the Queen have made quite a few contributions to his stamp album. Sarkozy was also gifted a leather album filled with stamps by the Hollywood actor turned Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

The French president has admitted that his collection is slowly growing into one of the most impressive in the world. Thanks to the international leaders that he is in regular contact with. His wife Carla Bruni is rather delighted that her husband has given up less appropriate pastime like karaoke singing and supports her husband’s new found pastime. 

It has been revealed that an independent stamp collecting club exists in the presidential residence. Sarkozy finds time for his hobby during the evening and allows his wife to inspect his album regularly. The French president is a perfect example of a keen collector and would many philatelists proud.
