The search advertising market has witnessed a glimmer of hope as the search spending has gone up. The search engine giant, Google will soon come out with figures of earnings this Thursday. Microsoft’s Bing is gaining momentum in the search advertisement as well.
After several quarters of decline and due to the marketers spending lesser on their advertisement budget, this clearly is a positive sign. The search spending was up by 10 percent this quarter for the clients of SearchIgnite, and 5 % among the Efficient Frontier clients.
Microsoft Bing has spent $100 million to market it and now it has begun to bear the fruit. The reports of Hitwise and ComScore suggest the increase in the traffic in the site and also increase in the ad spends.
Marketers spend more where they get maximum results, according to Roger Barnette, President of SearchIgnite. Paid search advertising has been a very lucrative option for marketers since it provided real time access. It also involves less planning in comparison to other forms of advertising that requires planning many months in advance. This form of online media is more accurate when it comes to reaching the target audience as well.
