It’s adieu season when it comes to the Microsoft Corporation management, as another senior executive from Microsoft’s top brass has decided to resign from his current position and move on. This time it’s the turn of Mike Nash, who served as the Corporate Vice President of Windows Platform Strategy, who will now be joining Amazon.com to work on the Kindle project. This is the second executive to leave Microsoft this year, after the resignation of Windows Senior Vice President Bill Veghte resigned and began his search for greener pasture.
In a statement, Microsoft spokesperson said,
“We can confirm that Mike Nash is leaving Microsoft in a couple weeks. In his 19 years, Mike made an impact in number of key roles at the company. We appreciate his service and wish him well.”
In his role as Corporate Vice President of Windows Platform Strategy, Mr. Nash worked on numerous crucial aspects of the Microsoft Windows platform, that included Windows business strategy, ecosystem engagement, consumer security, Internet Explorer, and emerging markets. He had been an integral force in the development of pilot Windows NT marketing team working as the product manager and then moved on to become the Corporate Vice President of the Security Technology Unit, all the while giving his valuable inputs into numerous Microsoft acquisitions.
