One of the biggest names in consumer electronics, Sharp Corporation, has now introduced an all new portable computer for Japanese markets. The device that goes by the name of NetWalker PC-T1 and the device is said to be powered by a Freescale i.MX515 CPU and its operating system is Ubuntu 9.04. This new device is welcome introduction as the successor to the PC-Z1, another portable computer that was unveiled last year and consisted of a keyboard.
The all new Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 portable computer will feature various connectivity options such as, Bluetooth, Wifi etc and will provide a 1024 x 600 resolution on a 5-inch LED display screen. The all new device has been provided with handwriting recognition feature, that will enable ease of use for the users, along with a virtual QWERTY keyboard. Also, a external Bluetooth keyboard can also be used with the device for character input. The Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 comes with 512 MB RAM and sports 8GB of flash memory. Along with the standard features, this all portable computer will also feature a USB port, miniUSB for charging and a microSDHC memory card slot.
The Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 portable computer is expected to launch in the Japanese markets in the month of May this year, at an estimated price of $500.
