Within a day of conducting the nuclear test, North Korea has fired two short range missiles. The nuclear test has been already condemned by United Nation, China, Japan and other countries. Despite the international criticism, North Korea seems to be unaffected by the response and has continued with its missile firing.

The international community has already made it very clear that that North Korea will have to pay the price if it continued to conduct the nuclear tests and test missiles. The U.N Security Council has already condemned the country for the violation of the U.N resolution.

North Korea has earlier in 2008 agreed not to test any nuclear weapon and discontinue its nuclear program in exchange for the economic aid. However, it violated its commitment when North Korea did not allow international inspectors ad restated it nuclear project. However, the country still needs economic aid to feed its people. Experts suggest that at the rate at which North Korea is going, it can build a long range missile like the ones other powerful nations like United States, Russia or China has made.

North Korea and South Korea are still at loggerhead since 1953. Several thousands of American troops are still stationed in South Korea.
