Silicon Mountain Launches Allio Lite, HDTV Cum PC

Connecting your HDTV with the PC to work over a larger display is a thing of the past. What you really need, if you are serious about things like this, is the Allio Lite from Silicon Mountain. The Allio Lite is an LCD TV merged with a PC.

Powered by an Intel Atom processor, the Allio Lite is available in two sizes of 42” and 32” with 1080p and 720p resolutions. The Allio Lite will include DVD/CD player/writer. With 1.6GHz, the Allio Lites will feature dual Atom 330 processors with hyper-threading technology. The choice of processor means Allio Lite can run Windows Vista Home Premium without any trouble. Backing this up is a 2GB RAM and 250GB hard drive. The Allio Lite is intended as a means of offering a low cost converged multimedia experience to users.

Allio Lite is available at $1,599 for the 42” model and $1,299 for the 32” model from ALLIOTV and others. The Allio Lite was a great hit when it debuted at the CES 2009 in Las Vegas earlier this year. Here’s your chance to surf the internet and have some fun on your PC cum LCD TV.
