Eight Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto is the Vogue’s new cover girl for the Indian edition of the magazine.

After the outstanding success of the film which bagged Best Director and Best Picture award along with other six awards, Freida Pinto is already booked for her next film. The cover girl had been branded as the style icon by the magazine. The unknown face in Hollywood before the film now has a role in Woody Allen’s next film which is to roll out this July. The casts include Hollywood stars Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts and Anthony Hopkins. Woody Allen’s latest hit Vicky Cristina Barcelona won actress Penelope Cruz an Oscar award for Best Supporting Actress.

Freida Pinto started her career in advertisements which included Wrigley’s Chewing Gum ads as well. She also has a taste of the fashion industry after being a model for a while. The future looks bright for the stunning star of Slumdog Millionaire. She has thanked Danny Boyle, the director of the movie who gave her the initial break in the field of acting.
