As NASA gets ready to send their astronauts to the moon in 2020, the technology that would be used by these spacewalkers is also being upgraded. One of the most important, and publicised, of these is the vehicle that would be used by the astronauts.

Exploration of the moon would not be viable unless a vehicle best suited for this alien environment was made available to the astronauts. In keeping with the leaps in technology accomplished in the four decades since the first moonwalk, NASA has given a public demonstration of the newest alien land rover that would touch the dusty terrain of the moon. The Small Pressurised Rover Concept has an air-tight pressurised cabin that can sleep two astronauts. The rover has a speed of 6mph and can traverse over 600 miles on a single charge of its battery.

The twelve-wheeled vehicle which was unveiled publicly in Arizona has comfortable interiors and allows astronauts to view the environment via big windows in casual clothing. This means astronauts would have to slip in to spacesuits only when they need to step out of the vehicle to collect samples. Practical and efficient, the rover unfortunately fails to impress when it comes to the design of the vehicle.
