Answering the phone in the middle of the night can be irksome, but it’s quite fun to watch someone else attempting to do the same while they’re half asleep. That’s because people tend to ‘answer’ and even talk to anything that they can get their hands on at that moment.

In your sleep, your shoes, lamp, maybe even the pet dog’s paw, could be mistaken for the ringing phone. But if anyone answers their soda cup and you start laughing, beware, because the joke may be on you. The Soda Cup Phone looks like an innocent cuppa but the attached cord gives it away. Removing the lid on top reveals not a frothy and cold beverage but the dialling unit instead.

The Soda Cup Phone will only set you back $14 but it’s worth so much more for the laughs that you’ll get. The phone seems to be a follow up of the Hamburger Phone from last year; I’m looking forward to a Hot dog Phone!
