Does using toothpaste to brush your teeth worry you ever? A you might know that many toothpastes contain abrasive ingredients, and they can damage the tooth enamel, such as silica. Using toothpaste can also make users more susceptible to infections. However, we have just discovered a unique ionic toothbrush called “Soladay-3″ invented by DR. Yoshinori Nakagawa from Japan, which doesn’t require toothpaste to brush your teeth.

Soladey-3 comes in two parts: a body containing a small solar panel and a Titanium metal rod, and a replaceable Head, which holds the bristles. You might wonder how you can ever brush your teeth without using toothpaste. Soladey-3 easily removes plaque and cleans teeth by a simple electron reaction. When light (read: not necessarily sunlight) is absorbed by the embedded solar panel, electrons are transmitted through the water to your teeth via the titanium oxide semiconductor. In case, you are one of those who cannot brush your teeth without toothpaste but still want to use Soladey-3, then you can use Soladey Mate G. This is a specially formulated “liquified gel”, which only requires 1/5 the amount of a toothpaste.
Nearly 2 million Soladey-3 toothbrushes are sold every year in Japan alone, along with about 5 million replacement heads. Japan Trend Shop offers a $45 package. It includes 1 Soladey-3 toothbrush, which comes in variety of colors such as, orange, purple, red, or blue, a set of four replacement heads as well.
