Mobiles phones are competing to be remembered as the best but this becomes impossible something better being created almost every day. Make way for LG’s new phone that made its first appearance at Mobile World Congress 2009.
LG’s new creation is powered by a solar panel battery back that seems to work quite great; apparently ten minutes in the sun will give you three minutes of talk time on this phone. The phone itself looks pretty good in black casing and the solar panel on the front. The only strange thing is that LG has already revealed the release date for the phone as being the end of the year for the European market but consumers are still unaware of the name. Perhaps, they were side-tracked by another solar powered gadget that debuted at the CES 2009. The LG HFB-500 is a Bluetooth speakerphone with hands-free feature. The speakerphone can be attached to any glass surface via a suction mount on its back which means that if you put it up on the windshield of your car you never have to worry about it running out of battery.
The LG HFB-500 costs between $70 and $80 but a price is not available on the solar powered phone yet. I suppose we could start with a name for it first.
