At the latest Seoul Design Competition, Hong Kong based designer Keikko Lee bagged a Gold Award for her ‘Sticker-Lamp’ which works on solar power. This environment friendly sticker lamp is just as thick as a magazine cover.
The lamp has electroluminescent material coated on one side and the other side has solar sensors and panels which trap solar energy when stuck on any surface. This energy gained from sunlight will later be used to give light in the dark. No electricity is used anywhere in the process.
This conceptual lamp being so lean can be carried easily and doesn’t need much material to be manufactured. There hasn’t been any news about when this lamp would be available in the market, but whenever it does, I wish it would find many takers.
