Did your mobile ever run out of battery while you were on an important call? This can be quite terrible when it happens. Novothink, a famous manufacturer of alternative electronic devices, has just released their Solar Surge especially for the iPod and iPhone touch. You can directly recharge your iPhone or iPod battery with the integrated solar panel on the back of the case. It also comes with an additional USB cable, which will help you charge your device anytime you wish even if there is no sunlight.

It can’t get any cooler than this. The four LED indicators will indicate whether you have sufficient light source for solar charging. It also tells you how much charge level remains in your case. A green light appears when the Surge is completely charged. The Solar Surge stores power in the internal battery when you remove your device from the case.

Novothink’s Solar Surge licensed by Apple will is priced at $70 and will be available from this month end. The only drawback for this product is that it works only on newer devices like the iPod Touch 2G, iPhone 3G and 3Gs model.
