Solar Traffic Light- One Step Closer To Green Commuting

A group of Taiwanese designers, Cheng-Tsung Feng, Yao-Chieh Lin & Bo-Jin Wang have designed the concept of a solar powered traffic light, that promises to be an energy saver and at the same will be environmental friendly as well. There have numerous attempt by a host of automobile manufacturers to create the perfect energy efficient solar or electric car, but some people have finally looked at the infrastructure of the our roads, that includes the traffic lights, which consume a lot electricity as they operate 24 hours a day.

The all new concept of a solar powered traffic light is ingenious and creative as well. The proposed eco-friendly traffic light is made up of discolor LED technology, that uses one single unit to accommodate the three colors of the signals, such as red, amber and green. This will not only saves a lot of energy, but will also prove to be extremely cost effective from the production point of view.
